By family, for families
There’s a comforting rhythm here, one that soothes and engages, cares for and imparts joy. Surrounded by five acres of farmland that include a barn, lake and pastures, Apple Grove was built in 2009 and designed to look like a residential home, not a health care facility.

“Apple Grove is close to our hearts. Residents, caregiving teams and staff are our family.”

THE APPLE FAMILY
Meet Our Founders
A personal experience caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s led Ed, with his wife Mary Anne, to build Apple Grove in 2008 on the couple’s own land. Longtime Memphians, Ed and Mary Anne also managed senior care facilities throughout the South.
Considering Apple Grove from all perspectives—family members, caregivers, those with Alzheimer’s and dementia—Ed and Mary Anne created a unique homelike community that supports everyone along the journey.
As they’ll proudly tell you, Apple Grove is their most gratifying endeavor to date. They remain hands-on in daily operations and in leading staff and caregivers to do their best every day. Today, Apple Grove is the Mid-South’s premier assisted-living residence completely dedicated to Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
